Founded in 2021 by Theresa Ortiz, a seasoned professional in the commercial construction industry, 2bn contracting was born from a vision to bridge the gap for qualified women- and minority-owned suppliers and subcontractors. Theresa recognized the challenges underrepresented groups face in the industry and sought to create a business that not only provides exceptional construction services but also empowers others to reach their full potential.
Our mission is twofold: to deliver top-tier construction solutions while fostering opportunities for women, minorities, and disadvantaged individuals in the industry. Having navigated the complexities of the construction field herself, Theresa and the 2bn contracting team are committed to helping others discover their strengths, build their careers, and achieve lasting success.
In 2022, Stephen Rada joined 2bn contracting as a partner, bringing over 30 years of experience in the commercial construction and manufacturing industry. With a strong background in manufacturing, finance, and operations, Stephen plays a vital role in the company’s strategic growth. His expertise in financial management and corporate operations strengthens our ability to execute complex projects efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality craftsmanship and exceptional service.
